Readers and Writers Festival set to be bigger and better

“Monday, December 5 is a red-letter day for the Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival,” says festival founder Brian Purcell. “Not only are we announcing many of the authors to be featured at the upcoming festival, we are also launching a brilliant new website.”
A special release of earlybird tickets are now available for the festival, to be held 23 – 25 March 2012 in the beautiful town of Bellingen on the Mid North Coast.
“The 2012 festival is shaping up to be bigger and better than this year’s (held in April). There will be a great range of quality events guaranteed to appeal to everyone,” says Brian.
Building on the success of the inaugural festival, the 2012 festival will continue to celebrate contemporary Australian writing, with high profile authors such as Steven Carroll, Robert Drewe, Alice Pung and Kate Forsyth.
“We encourage people to go to our website and find information about the authors, buy tickets, subscribe to our mailing list, comment on the forums or sign up to become a volunteer. You can find us on Facebook and Twitter and we encourage people to interact before, during and after the festival,” says Brian.
For more details about the festival and to purchase early bird tickets, go to www.bellingenwritersfestival.com.au . The specially priced tickets are available for weekend passes only (adults/concession).
