Anna Rienstra from Wauchope High has gained a ATAR of 99.75 in the 2011 HSC, topping the school’s list of academic elite.
With marks such as 99 per cent in Ancient History where she came 8th in the state and 98 per cent in Legal Studies coming 6th in the state, and a maximum marks for English Extension 2 helped her achieve this index .
Anna is included in the HSC Merit List and the HSC All Rounders who are students with 10 or more units in band 6.
While a number of the 2011 HSC cohort from Wauchope High are away from the area and have not reported into the school yet, the Wauchope group were generally happy with their marks and ATAR. Others who are expected to report a solid ATAR are Caltex All Rounder Trent Clayworth, Elizabeth Williams and April O’Neill.
Talya Wehlburg was also happy with her results with a band 6 in Legal Studies and three band 5s.
With an excellent rate of early entrance offers to University New England, Charles Sturt and Southern Cross Universities, the Wauchope year 12 group have their focus on some varied and substantial careers.
