Last Thursday motorists were advised to stay away from the Pacific Highway at South Kempsey which was closed in both directions near Scrubby Creek Road due to a serious car accident.
Police and emergency services remained at the scene treating injured occupants and investigating the accident until late afternoon when the roadway was reopened.
