Contemporary Australian Soul-Funk band The H Gang will give a free concert at the Port Macquarie Hotel on February 17, as part of their East Coast tour celebrating the launch of their debut EP.
The H Gang’s powerful and compelling soul interpretations can be witnessed on their EP, “The Natural Bridge’. The H Gang have taken the raw, chewy ingredients of soul – funk music of the 60s and 70s and blended it up into a refreshing concoction of inspired original music. Combined with a love of storytelling, hip melodies and contagious grooves, The H Gang delivers a live act full of energy and dedication to their music.
Breaking ground with their smooth beats and raw vocals, recently formed The H Gang rivals a Joss Stone-Bill Withers-Norah Jones super group, with soulful lyrics and head-bopping grooves. Raising the bar for Australian contemporary artists, this up and coming group, drawn together through their love of the all things hip and harmonious, will have you drinking wine alone on a Sunday evening and two-stepping your way around your lounge room in no time.
The H Gang feature the soulful vocals of Shandell Manson, the tasteful guitar of Shaun Robinson, the sophisticated keyboard of James Healy, the phat bass lines of Angus Graham and the funky drumming of Jackson Fraser.
Come down to the Port Macquarie Hotel on February 17 for a night of free original music and a selection of inspiring covers.
