John Fogerty for Blues Fest

Down on the corner and out in the street they’re talking about John Fogerty playing Blues Fest this year.
Fogerty, the legendary front man of Creedence Clearwater Revival, was the big name unveiled as part of round four of the artist announcements for this year’s festival at Byron at Easter.
It was the Festival’s biggest announce-ment yet for 2012, presenting more than 30 artists, including some very special headliners, the return of previous favourites, and opening the Blues Fest door to some exciting new discoveries, according to Festival director Peter Noble.
“We’ve unveiled some amazing headliners and celebrated bands coming to Byron Bay for Blues Fest 2012, but now our fourth announcement is the final touch which really tips the scales into overdrive.
“It’s certainly one of the best Blues Fests I’ve ever booked. Following on from the big headline acts in earlier announcements, our fourth artist unveiling is full of more headline surprises.”
Blues Fest will be held at its home at Tyagarah Tea Tree farm just off the Pacific Highway, 12 minutes north of Byron Bay from Thursday April 5 through to Monday April 9, 2012.
Joining John Fogerty will be some amazingly big names, including Ziggy Marley, Candi Staton, David Bromberg Band, Canned Heat, Vusi Mahlasela, Richard Clapton, Blitzen Trapper, The Audreys, Backsliders, Eugene “Hideaway’ Bridges, Ray Beadle, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Hat Fitz & Cara, Tribali, Watussi, Eagle And The Worm, Mat. Mchugh, The Beautiful Girls, Dubmarine, Mama Kin, Tijuana Cartel, Benjalu, Carus Thompson, Kim Churchill, Dallas Frasca, Marshall & The Fro, Ashleigh Mannix, Ollie Brown, Kooii and Lachlan Bryan.
