Landcare a concern for all ages

Recently, the combined efforts of three organisations resulted in the planting of native plants at the Historic Roto House site.
With approval from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and under the supervision of Port Macquarie Landcare, 25 students from St Paul’s High School, aged between 12 — 13 and accompanied by their teacher, participated in a valuable community service for the planting of native plants.
The approval from NPWS Hastings Area office has provided Landcare with the opportunity to extend such projects to other community members such as interested school students.
If you too are interested in becoming a member of Port Macquarie Landcare and would like to assist with such events, please contact Estelle Gough on 0432 141 605 or 6583 6508 for further information. New members of all age groups are always welcome.
