I am a candidate of dental caries and sensitive teeth, using Colgate 5000 plus and Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste which have 5000ppm and 1450ppm respectively of fluoride. The use of these products has been effective. However, the highlighted warning given on these products is — DO NOT SWALLOW.
Our water supply has 1ppm of fluoride, which is not applied directly to the surface of our teeth. How can this possibly prevent tooth decay when the amounts shown above are needed? Swallowing 1ppm over a lifetime of drinking water must add up to a significant amount of fluoride absorbed into the body, which cannot be removed and, according to many in the medical profession, poses a questionable health risk.
The real question is why is government prepared to gamble with our health? The obvious answer is that it is HIGHLY PROFITABLE to add industrial waste to public water.
The Port Macquarie Administrator has not divulged the actual annual cost of adding this waste to our water!
