D’Feet-ing MND a step at a time

For the second year, Port Macquarie will be walking for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in the ‘Walk to d’ Feet’ walkathon.
The walk will begin at Westport Park, corner of Buller and Park Streets, Port Macquarie, on Sunday, October 7, at 10am and walkers will continue to Town Beach and return.
The inaugural walk, which aims to raise funds for research into MND, had a great roll-up last year with over 400 walkers participating and organisers are hoping this year can be equally successful.
The walk is approximately 5.5km and is wheelchair and dog-on-lead friendly. A sausage sizzle will be available at the completion of the walk. Registration is $25 for adults, $8 for children and $6 for dogs on a lead. All registered participants will receive a Walk to d’Feet shirt with registered dogs receiving a bandana or a lead.
You can pre-register online at www.mndnsw.asn.au to avoid queues or registration will be available from 9am on the day.
For further information call MND NSW on 1800 777 175 or email kymn@mndnsw.asn.au or phone event co-ordinator Bev Smith on 0411 335 104.
