Majestic Cinema is set for a complete makeover.
The company has announced the long-awaited redevelopment of its Cinema complex in the Ritz Centre will commence on Monday, October8.
The development will see the addition of three new state of the art cinemas (making a total of five screens), a brand new foyer area and a bigger Candy Bar and Box Office. The development will vastly improve the cinema going experience for both locals and tourists.
Majestic Cinemas CEO, Kieren Dell, announcing the start of the project, said the transformation would allow Majestic Cinemas to show a greater range of movies andfor longer seasons, which would give people an opportunity to see the movies they want, when they want.
By Easter 2013, an additional two screens will be completed and the new Box Office, Candy Bar and foyer, which will be located on Level 1 at the top of the existing escalator, will also be ready for business. The final work, which involves reconfiguring one of the larger screens and opening the fifth screen, is scheduled for completion in August/September of 2013.
In addition to the Cinema work, the Ritz Centre will enjoy a makeover generally, including repainting of the outside of this iconic building. There will also be a new area available for lease beside the updated Cinema foyer that will suit a café or wine bar or similar business.
