On Friday, Glasshouse welcomes exhibition curator Joanne Gilmour from the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra for a special talk.
Joanna will be presenting a talk as part of the Glasshouse Coffee Morning series, taking Glasshouse patrons on a behind-the-scenes to look at the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2012.
Joanna will present an engaging talk exploring ideas behind contemporary port-raiture, photography and the relationship between the sitter and the artist. In her role as Curator at the National Portrait Gallery, Joanna has curated numerous exhibitions exploring ideas of contemporary portraiture and identity, as well as reflections on Australian history through portraiture.
This event is a must for anyone interested in learning more about portraiture, photography and art.
