A true Lifeline for 15 years

A presentation was made recently to Nada Trotter who received the Lifeline Golden Wattle Award for outstanding commitment to Lifeline, reaching 15 years of service.

CEO of Lifeline Mid Coast, Catherine Vaara, Business Manager Kurt Russell and Shop Manager Isla McKinnon were all in attendance to present Nada with a certificate and the Golden Wattle badge in recognition of her long service.

Business Manager Kurt Russell said, “I am always in awe of volunteers who manage to stay that long in a single organisation and devote that much time and dedication to an organisation like Lifeline. We are truly grateful for people like you Nada. Thank you.”

Last year Lifeline Mid Coast answered over 13,000 crisis calls and provided monthly support groups for those bereaved by suicide. Sadly, suicide remains the leading cause of death in women 34 years and under and men 44 years and under.

“Lifeline Mid Coast is committed to Lifeline’s vision of suicide safer communities and we can only achieve this through the dedication of our volunteers and community support,” sais Catherine Vaara, CEO Lifeline Mid Coast.
