Abuse leads to arrest

Just after midday on Monday, February
4, a 23-year-old male from Collingwood
Park, Queensland, has attended Centrelink Offices in Port Macquarie requesting assistance.

He has allegedly started abusing
staff and upon Police attendance he has allegedly refused to leave.

When arrested he has resisted by struggling with Police and thus handcuffed.

He was conveyed to the Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged
with Resist Officer in execution of
duty, Use Offensive language and intimidation.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at the Port Macquarie Local Court on March 4.

He has been banned form attending
any Centrelink Offices on the North Coast.

Police warn members of the public
that abuse of staff at Centrelink offices will not be tolerated and will be reported.
