Sunny weather greeted students from Port Macquarie High School for their annual swimming carnival recently.
Many students took the opportunity to dress up in imaginative outfits for the day to support their house team and the majority of participants wore house colours.
While there were the serious competitive races students were also able to get wet by participating in novelty events to win points for their house.
This is the third year since the house system was reintroduced by the Student Representative Council and the choice of beaches (Town, Flynns, Shelly and Lighthouse) in naming the houses has been well received.
In deciding Age Champions some age groups are very close with just a few points difference but the winners won’t be decided until the 200metre events are swum in the coming week.
