Grade 1 will be away at North Haven, the 2s at home to South West Rocks, 4s away at Wauchope, 6/2s at home to Kew and a Bye for the 7/2s. Remember to check your name. The March issue of “the Westport Bowler” out this Friday has a full Westport Pennant schedule for both the Men’s and Women’s Clubs with room for you to keep track of the results throughout the season.
Next Monday 4th March sees the “Over 60s” at Westport. As most of you know, the Westport Mens 60 and Over Bowlers Club draws its members from across the district providing an opportunity for older bowlers from the various clubs to enjoy a good game of bowls and a lot of good humour. Game sheets are at Port City, Panthers, Kew, Lake Cathie & Westport. It is always an enjoyable game. Put your name down. Dress is creams and a smile. Game starts at 1:00pm but the committee meets at 11:am – that’s right Rob, Gordie, Ken, Clive, Bill, Fred & Graham- meeting at 11:00.
Remember to enter the Mens Easter 2 Bowl Triples. Featuring 5 games of 18 ends on Friday 29 Saturday 30 March. Sponsored by the Westport Club there will be Prize-money of $5,700 ranging from $1,800 for the winning team down to a return of the $150 entry fee for the best performed team in each round outside the major place-getters.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday last week were literally flooded out but we hope there will be the usual Men’s social bowls program this week with Triples – neat casual dress – on Tuesday and Friday afternoons with Pairs – Club gear or creams – on Wednesdays. Put your names down please.
