NATURE Philosophy is running 10-day women’s and men’s trips with the Mapuru Community to North-East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory from 15-24 June, 2013.
These workshops are held over 10 days and provide expert tuition in the skills of basket making for the women and survival skills for the men.
The groups will live with the people of Mapuru on their traditional land.
They will travel to collect and prepare workshop materials, share in bush foods, learn language, exchange cultures, play with the children and share in day-to-day life.
These trips offer a unique opportunity of adventure, learning, and sharing. Each visitor to Mapuru is welcomed with an open heart and mind and given a rare glimpse into the ancient culture that has sustained these proud people for thousands of years.
