PORT Macquarie High School students Kelsey Burdbridge and Max Lewis-Barnett took time out from their recent school holidays to attend a special Anzac Day commemoration.
The Year 10 students joined Le Hamel Village RSL sub-branch bresident Greg Laird and teacher Stuart Jackson at the service.
Both students reflected on what Anzac Day meant to them and how their feelings and attitudes had changed as they got older and learnt more the significance of this event.
A number of village residents at the service were returned servicemen who were appreciative of the students’ visit.
