MEMBERS of the Port Macquarie Flamin’ Dragons competed at the recent Uranga regatta, which was hosted by the Titivators Dragon Boat Club.
Flamin’ Dragons had a mixed team, a women’s team and also a composite team of men, all hoping to get to the finals.
The club had five women and three juniors racing at their first regatta.
All teams did well on the day, but it was the men’s 10 team that brought home a trophy after finishing third.
The juniors had a great time competing against adults. They all came home with medals after a fun day of racing.
Flamin’ Dragons are looking for more men and juniors to join the club so that they can be more competitive in these areas.
If you are looking for something different to try, then check their website www.flamindragonsportmacquarie.org.au for information on paddling days.
The club’s next regatta is at Port Macquarie, to be held on the long weekend in June.
Several North Coast teams will be attending and also teams from Sydney competing in the marathon.
