COMPETITION was fierce in the division 1B final of the Hastings District Thursday Ladies Tennis Association last week. In what was a long, hard contest at West Port, Jeanette Parson, Joy Townsend and Judie Hales (pictured) prevailed 28-24. They defeated Betsy Bestwick, Colleen Hazell and Judy Holman. The next HDTLTA competition starts on 18 July at the Wauchope courts.
