THE Laurieton Public School Parents’ and Citizens’ Street Markets are gearing up for another successful day on the Monday of the October long weekend, 7 October.
“This year the markets were fully booked by stallholders three weeks out from the day,” a spokesperson for the Parents’ and Citizens’ said.
“We have also seen growth in the number of people visiting the markets as well as stallholders wanting to book.
“The market’s aim is to have something for everyone with a variety of stalls.
“Visitors and locals can take advantage of the closed street to shop at the markets with ease and check out the local shops and what they have to offer.
“We urge people to make a day of it – there is always plenty to see and do in the Camden Haven.”
The markets are open from 8am until 1pm, although road closures are in place on Bold Street and Seymour Street from 6am-2pm.
Funds raised go towards purchasing educational equipment and resources for the students of Laurieton Public School.
