Jets at full throttle

The Screaming Jets . . . coming to the North Haven Bowling and Recreation Club next month.

IT has been nearly three years since The Screaming Jets have graced the stages of Australia.
People have been screaming out for the Jets to return and light up the stage with a ferocity other bands can only imagine and the wait will soon be over.
The Screaming Jets are getting ready to embark on their first national tour in ages and are coming to the North Haven Bowling and Recreation Club on 2 November.
Kicking off at 8pm, the band will play songs that have been crafted by the band and loved by fans and critics around the world, and the boys cannot wait to get back on the boards to rock out with the faithful in a fashion that only the great pub rock alumni of Australia are accustomed to.
In conjunction with the tour, the Jets are releasing a compilation of their favourite covers recorded throughout their nearly 25-year history. Whether it’s an out-and-out salute to some of the great rock songs of the years or a tongue-in-cheek crack at a Celine Dion classic, the songs are attacked by the Jets in a way that makes them all their own.
Gearing up for massive celebrations that will see the band reach its quarter-century milestone in 2014, the boys can’t think of a better way to connect with their legion of fans than by giving them the greatest rock ‘n’ roll party they have ever witnessed. Their performance will include such Jets classics such as Better, Helping Hand, October Grey and covers from the Sex Pistols and Dead Kennedy’s, AC DC, Johnny Cash and Slim Dusty and heaps of stuff in between.
In a world awash with talent quest winners, the Jets are the real deal – raw power unleashed on a crowd of true rockers ready for the night of their lives.
Tickets are good value at only $35. To book visit www.nhbrc.com.au and click on the photo of The Screaming Jets or you can purchase in person at the main bar of the North Haven Bowling and Recreation Club.
