STUDENTS from Port Macquarie Physie and Dance have had a string of successes in recent weeks.
Three teams competed in Sydney at the Joan Sutherland Centre for the Australian Physie and Dance (APDA) Ladies Championships.
The open ladies under-33 year team and open ladies over-33 years team both placed fifth and the women will now compete at the finals to be held in Chatswood on Saturday 9 November.
Club juniors also competed at the APDA North West North Coast Junior Zone with outstanding results. The 7-8 years team placed first and six juniors made it through to the nationals, which will be held the day after the women’s championships in Chatswood on Sunday 10 November. Those going on to nationals are Pearl Osborne, Ella Scaysbrook, Lily Monckton, Melissa Downes, Jamie King and Chloe Weeks.
Club members will be showing off their talents in the club end-of-year performance, which will be held on Saturday 2 November from 2pm at the studio. Anyone interested in the progressive APDA movement is invited to come along and watch.
