THE Westport Club will be staging Christmas Under the Stars tonight.
The entertainment starts from 6pm, culminating in fireworks at 9pm.
A spokesperson for the club said it was a great opportunity for the people of Port Macquarie to get into the Christmas spirit.
“Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the line-up of great entertainment – including our special guest, Beccy Cole – local choirs and dance groups,” the spokesperson said.
“Santa will make a special appearance and there will be our wonderful spectacular fireworks display over the Hastings River at about 9pm.”
Entry is by gold coin donation to support the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Appeal.
Activities for the evening include a side show ally of barbecues, popcorn and fairy floss tent, face-painting, jumping castles and more.
The entertainment line-up is headed by special guest artist Beccy Cole, whose achievements include nine golden awards and two entertainer-of-the-year awards. She has also earned three gold records, 13 number- one singles and an ARIA award nomination.
Christmas Under the Stars will only be staged if the weather is dry. It is also an alcohol-free and smoke-free event.
