THE Hastings Valley Fine Art Association has just completed a successful eighth annual Summer Showcase Art exhibition and competition at the Laurieton United Services Club.
The assistant director of the Manning Regional Gallery, Jane Hosking, who judged the competition, praised the quality of the paintings.
The Mid North Coast Open Art Prize of $1000 was won by Vanessa Newell with Rainy Evening and highly commended going to Nigel Gillespie (last year’s winner) with Trestle Table and commended to Jill Cairns with Tidal.
