HOLIDAY fun kicks off at the Glasshouse today with a wide variety of fun, creative workshops for children.
With everything from crazy collages to handmade jewellery, children will have fun exploring and experimenting with art materials inside the Glasshouse ArtLab.
The workshops are a unique creative experience for children and provide something a little bit different to the traditional summer holiday activities.
“Paint, clay, pencils, dye, ink – if it’s messy and fun you will find it in our ever-popular Holiday Fun program,” Glasshouse public programs officer Skye Frost said.
“Kids love to create and make a mess along the way – and we have an ArtLab to let that happen.
Our Holiday Fun program is all about letting kids develop their creative skills and experience art with professional artist to guide them along the way.”
Parents can also enjoy the Archibald Prize and Bodywork exhibitions while the kids are kept busy with fun activities exploring the artworks.
Kids Spot, a free art workshop, is also on Saturday 18 and 25 January at 11am for 4-9 year olds (and their carers) exploring artworks and making their own artwork to take home. Bookings are essential.
You will find the full range of activities at www.glasshouse.org.au
