CARERS in and around Port Macquarie are being ask to contribute to a study being conducted by staff of the School of Rural Medicine at the University of New England in Armidale.
The study will delve into carers’ mental health and well-being to help inform policy-makers about local challenges.
“Local carers do not have the same access to services as people in cities and the study aims to give a voice to some hard-working, and often silent, Australians,” a spokesperson for the university said.
“Participants are asked to complete a confidential survey, which is simple and takes just 30 minutes to complete, online or on paper.
“People who complete the survey will receive a $5 gift voucher.”
Caregivers must be 18 years old or older.
