THE first of the Lower North Coast Medibank junior development series of tournaments was held in the Hastings recently with players travelling from as far as Woolgoolga in the north and Bulahdelah in the south.
With 20 juniors entering over six events, the under-9 girls singles final was an all-Kendall affair with Amahlia Kennedy taking the honours from AimeeJai Dietrich in their first tennis tournament.
Kendall also had some other great results in the two biggest fields on the day, the under-11 and under-13 boys, with Rhyan Hudson making the semi-finals of the under-11s and Connor McHugh the semi-finals of the under-13s along with Jackson Wheate and Rory Donovan making quarter-finals.
Lachlan Hunt had one of his best tournaments to date, making the semi-finals of the under-15 boys event.
The next tournament will be in the Manning Valley on 9 March.
