PORT MACQUARIE LADIES
THE inaugural Pink Jacket day on Monday was a great success. Many newcomers joined experienced players in a nine-hole ambrose event. There was a play-off to determine the winning team member, involving putting with a trick putter. As a result of her expertise in this, Kellie Bryant was the winner and will have her name embroidered on the pink jacket for 2014. Everyone enjoyed the champagne and nibbles as they socialised afterwards. The event will become a regular part of our program as a lot of ladies are interested in joining us on the golf course.
There were 103 starters for Wednesday’s stableford event and luckily the fine weather held. Margaret Newcombe, Betty Dunn, Gwyn Perry and Kay Swift were thanked for donating the trophies for the day, and the winners were as follows: Division 1 – Kerrie Jourdant 37, runner-up Shannon Miller 36.
