BUSINESSMAN Tony Green is a good guy in more ways than one.
The owner of household appliance store Port Macquarie The Good Guys, Mr Green recently donated an LED television to the paediatric unit at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
The gift was organised after an astute cleaner, Ken Dick, noticed the TV in the parents’ lounge had been removed because it no longer worked.
Nursing unit manager Cheryl Nolte said parents sometimes spent a significant amount of time in the lounge, waiting for their child to return from a surgical procedure, and the television was often a welcome distraction.
“It was very good of Mr Green to offer his assistance, and he can be assured his TV is well used and much appreciated,” Mrs Nolte said.
