Wauchope shows its best

"We're ready!" Wauchope Show Society president Bob Kennett inspects the showground.

ONE of the Hastings’ most important sporting events will kick-off tomorrow – the Wauchope Show.
The 104th show will feature a packed line-up of events over two days, ranging from the traditional horse and cattle classes, to a farmers’ challenge, camp-drafting, woodchopping, trick riding and a demolition derby.
The fireworks display at 8.30pm on Friday is always a highlight, as is the grand parade on Saturday afternoon.
Admission costs $14 for adults, $7 for a child/age pensioner. Discount group tickets and two-day passes are also available.
