Show wows the crowds

Rollands Plain’s Emma Gamack and her horse Clare Vale Tiger Gem took out the Australian National Saddle Horse competition on Saturday. They are pictured here with judge Mandy Small.

THE rejuvenated Wauchope Show attracted around 8000 people over the Friday and Saturday of the Anzac Day long weekend, with the mix of new and old events hitting just the ride note to attract show-goers.
Show society president Bob Kennett was delighted.
“We were very lucky – everything we put on seemed to attract the crowds,” he said.
His personal favourites included the demolition derby, which was won by Wauchope’s John Critcher, High Velocity tricking riding and the farmers’ challenge in which four teams competed.
Mr Kennett said next year’s show would to be held on 10 and 11 of April, the first Friday and Saturday after Easter.
