PORT Macquarie Neighbourhood and Volunteer Centre will be hosting the annual Volunteer Expo on Saturday 10 May 10, to launch National Volunteering Week, which runs from 12 to 18 May.
More than 30 groups will be represented.
Organiser Beck Miles said the expo would have a festival feel and there would be something for everyone, including music, food and refreshments.
“There are so many wonderful not-for-profit organisations joining the Port Volunteer Expo showcasing their services and informing our community of the volunteering options available,” she said.
“By offering the expo on a Saturday, we are hoping this makes it more accessible for people thinking who are considering volunteering to attend. Volunteering can really give you a sense of achievement by making a difference to someone’s life.”
The expo will be held at the Mid North Coast Maritime Museum, 6 William Street, Port Macquarie (opposite Oxley Oval) from 9.30am to 2pm.
