POLICE are investigating a report of sexual assault at Port Macquarie on the weekend.
About 2.30am on Sunday, a 20-year-old woman was walking along William Street, near the intersection of Murray Street, when she was approached by three men.
Officers have been told the men pushed her to the ground and indecently assaulted her, with one of the men also sexually assaulting her.
The men left and a passer-by contacted police.
The woman was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for treatment.
Detectives from Mid North Coast Local Area Command are investigating and would like to speak to three men.
The first man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his early twenties, with short brown spiky hair and bushy eyebrows, wearing a red and white striped shirt and blue jeans.
The two other men are only described as being about 20 years of age.
