Knife attack

A WOMAN has been charged over an alleged knife attack in Port Macquarie late last week.
Police have been told that about 5pm Thursday 8 May, four women, aged 35, 48, 64 and 63, were at a home in Gordon Street when a fight broke out between the group.
During the altercation, the 48-year-old woman allegedly produced a knife and injured the younger woman with the knife, before injuring the 64-year-old.
Emergency services were called and the 64-year-old woman was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital and received stitches to her forearm.
The two other women suffered minor injuries not requiring treatment.
The 48-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and charged with reckless wounding.
She was refused bail pending a court appearance.
