THIS Saturday 14 June the Wauchope Indoor Stadium will be the scene of Winter Fury as the Breakwall Brawlers of Port Macquarie Roller Derby League go head to head with their guests, the Central Coast’s Outcast Demons.
It’s been a big year already for Port Macquarie Roller Derby League (PMRDL). Just over five months in and the league’s skaters have participated in eight major games, including a tournament and a men versus women double header that included a mix of world-class skaters from all over the country.
Travel is an essential aspect of regional roller derby and maintaining an active travel team has been a priority for PMRDL. Their Breakwall Brawlers recently journeyed to Byron Bay to compete in Round 2 of the North Coast Derby Coalition Tournament and they are already gearing up to make their way down to Canberra next month to take on Varsity Roller Derby League.
Doors open at 4pm, game starts at 5pm. There will be food and beverages and market stalls. Tickets are $10 but will only be available at the door if not sold out. Contact the league to pre-purchase on 0414 700 177.
