LEADING Aboriginal employment organisation Aboriginal Employment Strategy (AES) has announced its trainee of the year.
At the North Coast Institute of TAFE Student Recognition Awards in Coffs Harbour Tamara Baker was recognised for her efforts as an AES school-based trainee.
“It is an amazing opportunity.
“With the support of my partner, Jacob, my parents and grandparents, I have excelled in something I enjoy,” Tamara said.
Associate Director for North Coast TAFE and convenor of the judging panel Di Paton said Tamara was outstanding in the field of nominees, not only because of her initiative in making a significant life change at such a young age to pursue education, but also because of her passion for work and study.
The training awards are conducted annually to recognise outstanding achievement in the vocational education and training sector.
