All the information about local support options will be available.

THE Hastings Community Drug Action Team (HCDAT) promotes Drug Action Week annually.
This year HCDAT is hosting a free family fun day on Sunday 22 June, from 10am-3pm, at Port Macquarie’s Town Green to promote drug action week.
There will be lots of fun for every one with face painting, novelty balloons, temporary tattoos, art and craft library bag making, the tower of terror and Healthy Harold will make an appearance at noon.
There will be lots of opportunity to access drug and alcohol resources, get a health check and to speak to a drug and alcohol health professional.
The Big Red Bus will be parked from 10am to 3pm, and will be providing a healthy barbecue for a gold-coin donation.
The HCDAT is a group of people concerned about the effects of drug and alcohol use in their community. They work together to identify specific issues affecting their town or neighbourhood, and develop strategies to reduce the harms associated with drug and alcohol use.
Come on down, bring the family and join in the family fun day.
The HCDAT has also been pro-actively engaging with the community to reduce binge drinking. The team has been involved in a variety of initiatives including, ‘FOTSUN, are you over the limit the morning after’, The Drinksafe Project, and free breath-testing at the Port Cup.
‘FOTSUN are you over the limit the morning after’ has been running annually since 2010. The HCDAT are on the scene at 6am on the Sunday of the Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie, where they provide free breath testing and education to about 800 members of the community about the risks associated with binge drinking.
The HCDAT are also working in partnership with the Mid North Coast Local Health District and the police on the Drinksafe project.
Drinksafe aims to reduce incidents of alcohol abuse and drink driving. The project is conducted in licensed premises where patrons have the opportunity to have a brief assessment of their alcohol use and an alcohol breath test and receive feedback.
