IF “MUSIC has charms to soothe the savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak” then it can certainly help to unwind at the end of a busy week and celebrate the end of the financial year.
The Hastings Choristers certainly think so and its next concert Into the Black, which will take place in the Glasshouse mezzanine foyer from 6pm-7pm on Friday 27 June, is designed to do just that.
The sparkling repertoire for this concert is designed to help start the weekend – and the new financial year – on a high note.
Hastings Choristers Cantorus choir will be singing plenty of light and bright songs while the popular female ensemble Cantabile will also be performing a selection of its favourite pieces.
The program for this concert also includes performances from two very talented and popular local soloists – the lovely Kate Hartley and Stella Hannock.
Doors at the Glasshouse will open at 5.30pm which allows plenty of time to enjoy the complimentary drink included in the ticket price before the concert commences at 6pm.
Tickets for the concert are $20 and are available at the Glasshouse, www.glasshouse.org.au or phone 6581 8888.
