Helping live full lives

“There is still so much life left to live and we can help them do that,” says Suncare Community Services.

The local aged care service, Suncare, are a local service in Gympie that help their customers and people in the community to live meaningful, independent and full lives through their aged journey.

Suncare is reimagining what ageing looks like, not as something to endure, but something to embrace, with the right support. Their mission is to ensure no one has to navigate later life alone. Through a range of tailored services including domestic assistance, personal care, transport, meal preparation and clinical care, Suncare helps older Australians continue living independently, confidently and with dignity in their own homes.

Their Social Connections program is designed to bring people together — creating opportunities for meaningful friendships and shared experiences. These activities encourage participation and help reduce feelings of disconnection by supporting individuals to remain active members of their community.

Beyond their core services, Suncare also offers opportunities for the wider community to get involved. Volunteers play a valued role in supporting events and programs — with many first introduced to the organisation as guests who then felt inspired to give back.

To find out more about Suncare and what they offer, visit their website Suncare.org.au, call 1800 786 227 or email info@suncare.org.au.
