Detectives investigating the disappearance of 46-year-old Patricia Petersen last week now believe she might be on the Mid North Coast.
It is understood a woman fitting her description was last seen in a Port Macquarie supermarket.
Patricia Petersen, 46, was discovered missing by the manager of the North Narrabeen caravan park last Thursday, April 26.
Her personal belongings had been left behind.
Police from Northern Beaches Local Area Command commenced inquiries into Mrs Petersen’s disappearance.
A major air, sea and land search was undertaken in the local area late last week in an attempt to locate her.
Following inquiries, detectives now believe Mrs Petersen might be on the state’s north coast.
It’s believed she boarded a Coffs Harbour-bound CountryLink train on Tuesday, April 24.
She is also thought to have visited a Port Macquarie supermarket on Saturday afternoon, April 28.
