Police are investigating an armed robbery at a licensed club near Taree on Sunday night.
Shortly before 10pm on Sunday, October 9 a glass sliding door was smashed at a club in High Street, Blackhead.
A man wearing a mask and wielding a machete entered the room,threatening the two employees and a number of patrons.
The offender grabbed one of the patrons and took him to the office and forced him to the ground whilst taking a quantity of cash from the office safe.
The man then fled from the club along High Street and was followed by two other patrons of the club.
It is believed that the offender then made good his escape into nearby bushland.
