A man missing from a yacht on the Hastings River near Port Macquarie is yet to be located and feared dead.
The captain, 75-year-old Sydney man Des Stanaway, has been missing for two weeks.
About 10pm on Wednesday, February 1, Marine Rescue responded to an incident where a yacht had become grounded on a sandbar on the river.
The crew informed the rescue personnel they did not require assistance.
The Marine Rescue crew informed them they would return at high tide to assist towing the vessel back to shore.
About 4.15am the vessel was towed to a nearby marina, where one of the three crew members was discovered missing.
The two crew members noticed Mr Stanaway was missing from the yacht.
A week-long search was coordinated with the assistance of Marine Rescue, the SES, the local Surf Life Saving Club and the Rural Fire Service helicopter.
