Dedicated carer retires after 32 years

Marlene Chapman has been congratulated on a remarkable nursing career in Port Macquarie, which has spanned more than 32 years.
Marlene started work at the former Hastings Hospital on January 1, 1980.
During her long career, Marlene has provided a valuable contribution to the health service and support to staff and patients in the role of Assistant Director of Nursing and After Hours Manager.
Mid-North Coast Local Health District Chief Executive, Stewart Dowrick, offered congratulations and sincere thanks to Marlene for her outstanding dedication.
“It’s important for us to take the time to recognise and celebrate the achievements of staff who have made significant contributions to health services in their local community,” said Mr Dowrick.
“On behalf of the Governing Board, staff and the community, I thank Marlene for her great work and commitment to our hospital and wish her all the best for a well-deserved retirement,” he said
