A man has been arrested and charge in relation to a stabbing incident at Port Macquarie.
Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command and NSW Ambulance Paramedics responded to an incident at a residence on Pacific Drive, Port Macquarie, about 6pm on Sunday, April 15.
They located a 31-year-old woman suffering serious injuries, including a fractured eye socket and broken teeth. She was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
Meanwhile, police were contacted by hospital staff after a 37-year-old man sought treatment for stab wounds to the stomach.
Following inquiries, officers returned to the Pacific Drive residence and arrested a 35-year-old man. He was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and recklessly cause grievous bodily harm before being refused bail to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Monday.
