Two charged and replica firearm seized

Two men are facing court and a replica firearm was seized during a vehicle search in Port Macquarie.

About 11.50pm on Friday, March 15, detectives attached to the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, in conjunction with police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command, arrested two men, aged 27 and 20, on Pacific Drive at Port Macquarie.

A search of a nearby vehicle located a replica firearm, mobile phones, clothing and a knife.

The men were taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and each subsequently charged with conspiracy to commit indictable offence (robbery whilst armed).

The two men were refused bail and will appear in Port Macquarie Local Court.
