Joan and Robert Buonaccorsi (Buon) could not believe their luck when they received a phone call that has made them $50,000 richer.
The retired couple won the NBN Today Show’s Mortgage Monday promotion last week, netting the sizable sum.
People who enter the competition have to answer the phone within five rings and say the words “I wake up with Today”.
And on Monday it was the pair’s lucky day, and as they answered the phone correctly, their bank account is now $50,000 healthier!
