Fundraiser takes flight

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service’s Belinda Power was presented with $5000 in donations resulting from the successful 2011 Craft Expo held November last.Craft Expo is a joint venture between the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie and the Zonta Club of Port Macquarie.  Presidents Glenda Barber (Rotary) and Elaine Elsey (Zonta) said they greatly appreciated the role played by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in the community.“On behalf of the members of both clubs, we trust that the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service will continue to grow and provide this vital service for many years to come,” Mrs Barber said.In response, Belinda Power presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Craft Expo committee members Margaret Bateman, representing the Zonta Club of Port Macquarie and Lorryl Rumble, representing the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie.“We all look forward to being able to provide further support in the future,” Margaret said. It is planned to hold the 2012 Craft Expo at the Port Macquarie racecourse in November.
