Uniforms found

Two fire and rescue suits were believed to have been stolen from a truck last Thursday but have since been found in an “undisclosed location”.
Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector Tony Lenthall said a visiting Cessnock Fire and Rescue NSW crew, who were in Port Macquarie to assist during flooding, were staying at the Country Comfort in town.
Inspector Lenthall said, under the cloak of darkness, it was believed thieves invaded the crew’s truck parked in Buller Street and stole two structural rescue uniforms valued between $3000-$4000.
However, he said on Monday that the suits had been recovered and may not have been stolen.
Insp Lenthall praised the work of Fire and Rescue crews, both locally and those visiting from Cessnock, Belmont, Tingira Heights, Gloucester and Wingham, to assist during the floods.
He said the Kempsey crew had also worked day and night alongside the SES to stabilise the region.
