The woman viciously attacked by a shark off Port Stephens last Wednesday calls
Wauchope home.
Lisa Mondy, 24, was attacked while wakeboarding at about 1pm by what was believed to have been a four-metre great white shark.
She suffered serious injuries to her upper arm and neck.
She was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
Lisa spent much of her youth in the Hastings and attended Wauchope High School.
She was also an employee at Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park before relocating to Newcastle.
Lisa is believed to be in a stable condition.
