Every Friday afternoon from 1pm, it’s time to join host John O’Callaghan with commentators Ken Gentles and Paul Walsh on FM93.5 Radio 531 Friday Sports Talk.
With a wealth of experience, the panel discuss sporting events happening on local arenas with competitors and organisers and they even touch on the NRL and AFL home and away rounds each week.
Ken Gentles is a well known sporting identity who has a strong sporting background especially within the realms of first grade cricket. A lot of Ken’s time is also taken up with being Head Coach for the North Coast Cricket Academy and believes there is a great future for Australian Cricket with the talent of the juniors on the north coast.
Paul Walsh is also a well known business man with interests in several of the sporting fraternities of Port Macquarie including a director’s position on the Port Macquarie Race Club as well as a seat on the Port Macquarie Hastings Sporting Task Force.
However Rugby League is Paul’s first love, especially the encouragement of Juniors to participate. Paul holds the position of Event Coordinator for the Australian Schoolboys Rugby League and has secured Port Macquarie as the venue to host the 2012 National Championships.
