About 3.40am on June 25 Police attended the scene of a break and enter at a pharmacy in Lake Cathie.
Whilst police were taking details from the owner of the pharmacy, a 22-year-old male allegedly returned to the pharmacy to steal/collect more medicines.
He was arrested and conveyed to his premises in Lake Cathie.
A search of his premise revealed a large amount of prescription medication.
The male was conveyed to Port Macquarie Base Hospital for observation and treatment for his drug issues.
He is to be issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice to appear at the Port Macquarie Local Court.
